Kaufman Engineering, Inc. has been in business since 1998. Our predecessor organization, Walter W. Kaufman and Associates, began in 1982. Over these years we have worked on mining or mining related projects for a wide variety of clients.

ANNOUNCING THE APPOINTMENT OF BRIAN C. TRAWEEK TO OUR TEAM
Mr. Brian C. Traweek joined Kaufman Engineering in March 2008. Mr. Traweek has experience in natural gas lease negotiation in Texas and Pennsylvania. He has provided natural gas lease technical consulting services for individuals, neighborhood associations, and large-scale industrial clients. Mr. Traweek has mining engineering experience in industrial minerals, coal, and copper. He has completed mine plans for every stage of mining, from initial financial feasibility, to permitting, to mine operations planning, to reclamation and final post-mining land use. His experience has ranged from weekly production shift operations planning to life-of-mine plans. Mr. Traweek's previous experience in an operations environment provides him with a field practicality perspective in his problem solving approach. He currently leads the lease contract negotiation process on the behalf of client mineral rights owners, with clients in the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania and the Barnett Shale in Texas.
